RECENT RESULTS

  • Commonwealth vs. CF – Attorney John Hendrie secured a Not Guilty Verdict after a jury trial in Fall River District Court.  Our client was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  The trial took place on July 15, 2025. 
  • Commonwealth vs. CB – after a two day jury trial in New Bedford District Court, Attorney John Hendrie secured a not guilty verdict.  Our client was charged with carrying an illegal firearm after police were called due to suspicious behavior. The trial happened on June 23, 2025.
  • Commonwealth vs. KS – After a three day jury trial in Fall River Superior Court, Attorney Melissa Hendrie secured a not guilty verdict.  Our client was charged with several gun violations and was facing a mandatory sentence of at least 10 years in State Prison.  The trial happened March 13, 2025.
  • Commonwealth vs. LS-  Attorney John Hendrie and Melissa Hendrie jointly represented this client due to the serious nature of the allegations.  He was indicted on 17 counts of rape of a child which cared a life sentence.  After a grueling 2 week trial, the jury was unable to come to a unanimous verdict and a mistrial was declared.  Hendrie Law remained determined that our client was wrongfully accused and handled the second trial.  Together, on November 11, 2024, our client was acquitted on all charges and walked out of the Fall River Justice Center a free man. 
  • Commonwealth vs. GV- On February 1, 2023 our client was found not guilty after a 3 day jury trial in Fall River Superior Court.  The client was charged with cocaine trafficking.  Due to the COVID restrictions, the client had been in jail for 3 years awaiting trial.  Attorney Melissa Hendrie was able to get him a trial date within one month of being hired and he was acquitted on all charges. 
  • Client was charged with cocaine trafficking facing a mandatory 3.5-5 years in State Prison. After a four-day jury trial in the Fall River Superior Court, the client was found Not Guilty on all counts. (September 2020) 
  • Client was indicted on several charges, including a stabbing resulting in serious bodily injury, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. After a two day trial the client was found not guilty by reason of insanity.  (August 2020)
  • Client was charged with multiple counts of Assault and Battery DW and serious injury on a trial. After three-day jury trial in the New Bedford District Court, client was acquitted on all counts. (February 2020)
  • Client was charged with carrying a loaded firearm and reckless endangerment of a child in the Taunton District Court. After a bench trial, the firearm charge was dismissed outright. The client was found not guilty on the reckless endangerment charge. (October 2019)
  • Client was charged with operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor in the Fall River District Court. After a bench trial, the client was found not guilty. (April 2019) 
  • Client was charged with domestic assault and battery. After a one-day jury trial in the Fall River District Court, the client was found not guilty. (March 2019)
